I was tasked with creating a looping holiday greeting animation. The Holiday I decided to go with for the animation was Día De Los Muertos (Day of the dead). I decorated two sugar skulls, marigolds, banners, candles, and more to create a small looping scene full of life. In the center, I animated a Catrina wearing an oversized hat and a dress that blew in the wind. The piece incorporates small movements from the banner moving in the wind, the flowers opening and closing, and the flames of the candles flickering to bring the animation altogether.
